SouthWest Communities Resource Centre

Our team

Executive Director
Debra M. Armstrong B.S.W., R.S.W.

If you’re looking to speak with someone who knows the ins and outs of the SouthWest Communities Resource Centre’s strategic vision, day-to-day operations, business plans, donor relations, human resources, Debra’s who you need to chat with.  Her background in Child Protection, Community Development and Executive Leadership makes her the perfect fit for building a strong and sustainable resource centre.

Community Resource Workers:

Marylou Breig, R.S.W. and Aynsley Walsh R.S.W.

With two experienced social workers we have established a team that is passionate and knowledgeable on local resources and can provide assessments, supportive counselling, information, referrals, advocacy and system navigation for the families who visit the SouthWest Communities Resource Centre.

All the staff at the SWCRC have the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among parents, children, volunteers and staff and are tuned into the culture of the south west communities.  They recognize that relationships are central to the success of the SWCRC.

The SWCRC often provides the first point of entry for the entire social service delivery system and many people see us as the first step in getting connected to programs services and resources to help them address issues and fulfil basic needs.  Using a strengths-based assessment we help people identify existing concerns and recommend programs and services which may help them move forward.
