Marylou Breig, B.S.W, R.S.W.- Manager of Community Programs.
and Crystal Smith M.S.W, R.S.W.- Family Education Specialist
With two experienced social workers we have established a team that is passionate and knowledgeable on local resources and can provide assessments, supportive counselling, information, referrals, advocacy and system navigation for the families who visit the SouthWest Communities Resource Centre.
You will find all the staff are warm and engaging and build strong interpersonal relationships among parents, children, volunteers and staff and they are tuned into the culture and needs of the south west residents. They create an environment that builds positive and healthy relationships which is essential to the success of the SWCRC.
The SWCRC will often be the first point of contact for other support services and resources. Our Community Resource Workers have the ability to connect and work collaboratively with other agencies to bring programs closer to where people live and help our clients move forward with their lives.
Tutoring Coordinator: Andrea Camacho
Andrea began at our centre as a social work practicum student who really connected with our youth and tutors. With Telus support we were able to enthusiastically include Andrea on our Team. You can connect with her most Wednesday evenings when our Tutoring Program is on.
